The 17-8’s explained

17 is a double letter. A double letter means you are moving from something to something. In this case you are moving from subservient to sovereign. Your soul chose to place you in situations where you are subservient to others. Usually, it starts out with your parents being overly oppressive. Then you find yourself giving away your power to others in relationships, jobs, teachers, etc.  17s are all about speech so it is Mercury energy. You may struggle with rationalizing anything even when it is against your morals. 

The 8 is Cancer energy which is ruled by the Moon.  The Moon is the fastest moving planet so that means you are never still.  You are here on this physical earth but still connected to the higher realms.  It's about the grounding energy that connects you to the physical earth. It’s also about sight and the ability to see the future.

Because of your domineering parents, you have some disturbing feelings of underachievement. Really ungrounded and you have no self-worth.  You numb out with things that help you forget these feelings.
