The 8’s explained

The 8 is Cancer energy. It is the grounding energy that connects you to the physical earth. It’s about sight and the ability to see the future. The body part is the right hand which is extending to everyone.

8's karma

If you have an 8 in your physical karma area, you will have to work to get through this. Always start with your physical karma. You won’t be able to get very far with the rest of your chart unless you work on this karma first. If you have this number in your physical goals area, this could be a career path. 

You really need to be needed. You get too involved in everyone’s business because you want to fix them. It’s hard for you to let people fix their own problems. Because you suppressed your childhood trauma, your heart closed up at an early age. Your job in this lifetime is to open that heart up and stop living in the past. But you feel like you would rather die than engage with your feelings. Because of this, you are all in your head and mind. You actually let your mind tell you what you are feeling instead of your body and heart.  You may have trouble committing to things like a home or job. You may be so ungrounded that you don’t care about regular things in this world like your hygiene or possessions. You may relate more to animals than people. You have this idea of a relationship in your mind that is unattainable because you refuse to fully open up emotionally to a real person. 

You are a highly sensitive soul that may have trouble telling good from bad. In a past life, you did not connect to anyone in society. In spiritual karma you are aware of your spirituality, but you resist any kind of human emotions. You need to get out of your head and into your feelings.

8's talent

The 8’s are a high frequency energy. It can feel really heavy on this earth for you. You are clairvoyant but only when it comes to the future. My ex-boyfriend has several 8s in his chart. When we would watch football, he would say something like, “they are going to throw to the wide receiver on the left.” And he was almost always right! Spiritually you know what is true. In the physical world, you may be unsure and that makes you indecisive. The reason my ex could be clairvoyant watching football is because football grounded him. His mind turned off, and he went with what his body was telling him. He didn’t know he was doing it, but he was. It may be tough for a man to have 8 energies because it’s more about nurturing, supporting, and your intuition. 

You are great at inserting and acclimating yourself in society however you want. You can relate to anyone. You are here to serve others. And you can serve anyone because you can change how you relate to people depending on the person. 

8's goals

Ground into society. Connect to others using your emotions not intellectualizing your feelings. When you are grounded, your talents can come through.

8’s soul destiny

You are serving society by being grounded enough for your talents to come through. 

Anytime you see an 8 in your chart, you will work with this energy. However, an 8-8 means you are working with the full expression of the 8. If you have a 17-8, both energies are at play in an aspect of your chart. But the 8-8 means it’s full on 8’s in that aspect of your chart.

Support for the 8-8s and 17-8s

Because you are all up in your head, you may experience depression and even suicidal thoughts. This number is about seeing into the future. When you don’t see a future, you may struggle with these. You need healing from any kind of abuse or trauma. 

When this energy is in the positive aspect, you are grounded. Any kind of grounding activity is helpful. Meditating, walking is nature, Qigong, yoga. Anything that allows you to “zone out” like gardening, cooking, exercise. Whatever you are doing that allows you to look up after a while and say, “wow, where did the time go?”

You may struggle with cleaning or taking care of yourself. Start small and work your way up. Pick a day where you will clean your house. The same day every week. Tell yourself you will clean up the dishes by the end of the day so when you go to bed, the kitchen is clean. Throw things away. If you haven’t used it or it is actual garbage, throw it away. 

You need the people in your life to give you a lot of love. Have a conversation with them explaining the things you need to feel loved and taken care of. This can be hard for men to do this. I think if you are a man who opens up to your loved ones, they will move heaven and earth to make sure they do the things that make you feel loved. They just need you to let them know what those things are. The more you feel loved and safe, the more you can access your emotions.

Make connecting to people a priority. Connecting to people helps you get grounded. If this is hard for you, start small. Meet for a coffee or take a class together. If you find a class you enjoy like cooking, painting, etc., you kill 2 birds with one stone. You are connecting to others and engaging in an activity that allows your brain to turn off and your body to feel. And, if you sign up for a class you may be more inclined to actually go instead of just saying you should get together with someone.
